Four Curtin writers respond to the John Stringer Prize in a playful, collaborative dialogue using tiny texts and call and response as method.
This is the fourth and final ‘writers response’ to the JCG exhibitions this year, exploring once again the relationship of word and image and the cross-pollination of the creative arts.

The prestigious John Stringer Prize – created in 2015 in honour of acclaimed curator, the late John Stringer (1945–2007) – commissions six contemporary Western Australian artists to create new work from which the winning artist will be determined by a secret ballot conducted by The Collectors Club members.
This year they were selected by an independent selection panel consisting of Chris Malcolm, Director, John Curtin Gallery; Dr Laetitia Wilson, Exhibitions Manager, Janet Holmes à Court Collection and Nathan Giles, Executive Director, Perth Public Art Foundation.
The exhibition features new work created specifically for the Prize by the six artists who work in a range of media including drawing, painting, photography, installation and textiles.
