BECOME A GALLERY VOLUNTEER
Because there is no substitute for real world experience!

The John Curtin Gallery (JCG) Volunteer Program offers Curtin students the opportunity to gain practical experience by working alongside the professional team at the JCG and the Curtin University Art Collection.

This much sought after volunteer program, which is recognised a part of the Curtin Extra program*, provides Curtin students with a range of experiences to help prepare them for future roles in their related careers. Students are able to put the skills learned in their studies into practice in a real world setting.

About the Gallery

The JCG presents exhibitions by local, national and international artists, presenting works across a wide range of visual art mediums and interrogating many of the important issues of our day.

It capitalises on its location within a research-rich university environment to curate exhibitions that bridge art, science and academia in engaging and innovative ways.

All exhibitions are accompanied by an extensive public program – talks by artists, curators and subject specialists, panel discussions, symposiums, tours, performances, screenings, publications and special events.
