Colour image , dark grey sky at the top and rolling grey white clouds reaching out across the horizon meeting the sea which looks claim in the distance but closer at the bottom of the image, the ocean swells and sprays hit a rocky nest at the centre foreground, the foreground colours of the ocean are beautiful blues and aqua tones with whites, while the ocean in the distance looks dark blue black in colour. With a clear horizon line just down from the centre, the clouds are white and grey with bits of blue sky showing though.
Sense and Sensitivity celebrates the unique sensorial place of autistic artistry in the world via the lens of landscape photographer, Simon Phillips, and the deep listening of performance artist Dawn-joy Leong.
In a kaleidoscope of beautiful imagery and subtle sound, this remarkable collaboration privileges the feelings of both artists for the world; how they engage with it through what they see, hear and touch; revealing their exquisite appreciation for themes of diversity, balance, place and timelessness.
