Become a Gallery Volunteer through the Curtin Extra Program.

Because there is no substitute for real world experience!

The John Curtin Gallery (JCG) Volunteer Program offers Curtin students the opportunity to gain practical experience by working alongside the professional team at the JCG and the Curtin University Art Collection.

This much sought after volunteer program, which is recognised a part of the Curtin Extra program, provides Curtin students with a range of experiences to help prepare them for future roles in their related careers. Students are able to put the skills learned in their studies into practice in a real world setting.

Student volunteer assist our Front of House staff in invigilating our exhibitions, including undertaking research into the artists and artworks on display and in the collection, so that you are able to answer questions of our visitors. Students may also assist in organising some of the many events we host for the University.

This is a Tier 1 Curtin Extra Program.  Register your interest by emailing Gallery@curtin.edu.au and letting us know why you would like to undertake this program.
